FROM THE PRINCIPAL

We welcome a new group of parents and students to our SMM family next week as we begin Kindergarten screening. Some of you have been with us only one year, some as many as ten years. We value all of our students and their families and thank you for your ongoing support!

 

2008/2009 TUITION INFORMATION

Please return the FACTS Tuition Payment plan applications as soon as possible.    We have not heard anything yet regarding Diocesan Tuition Awards or Scrip Tuition Credit.  We will hopefully, have that information out to you by mid May.

 

FLOWER SALE

The Flower Sale pickup is this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  NO FLOWERS WILL BE HELD AFTER 1:15!!!  Please make checks payable to SMM H&S.  There will be a $10 charge for each returned check.  Thank you for all of your hard work making this year’s Flower Sale a huge success!!!!!  Congratulations to the Brook Smith (1st grade) family who sold the most flowers and is our Grand Prize Winner of Season Passes for 4 to Zoombeezi Bay. 

 

SMM GARDEN CLUB

Don’t forget!  Our Annual Spring Planting is Saturday, May 10 at 9:00 a.m. – lunch will be served!!  Meet at the Rectory Garage.  Please bring necessary tools, gloves and a friend.  If you have any questions, please call Mary at 279-2790.

 

BAND NEWS

Please plan to attend the Bishop Ready feeder schools Spring Band Concert on Thursday, May 15th at 7:00 at Bishop Ready.

 

MARKET DAY

The deadline to place an order for the May sale is Tuesday, May 13th.  Orders may be turned in to the school office or placed on at www.marketday.com.  Customers with orders totaling at least $75 will receive a free Market Day beach bag.  Order can be picked up on Saturday, May 17th from 9-10 am in the school gym.

 

FESTIVAL BASKETS

Class theme items can still be brought in for the festival baskets.   Please bring in an item for your class theme (or $2 - $5 in an envelope) to class ASAP. The class baskets are sold through silent auction at the festival. PLEASE help make SMM’s festival even more successful than last year's!   Class themes: Pre-K & Kindergarten – Gardening, 1st -- Rainy Day Activities, 2nd -- Red, White & Blue, 3rd --- OSU, 4th – Christian/Inspirational, 5th -- Pampered Pooch, 6th -- Art Supplies, 7th – OSU,  8th -- Grilling/Outdoor Chef.  Questions? MEMORIAL BRICK GARDEN

The Saint Mary Magdalene Memorial Brick Garden is a wonderful way to celebrate and honor past, present and future members of our parish and school community.  Each brick can contain three lines with each line containing thirteen characters.  The cost for each brick is $50.00 or two for $75.00.  You can obtain an order form at the display in the church gathering space, online at www.saintmarymag.org or in the school office.  Please contact Meg Cline at 853-3067 with any questions.
